Well, we moved! Thursday April 8...we were planning to move Thursday evening and then on Friday but actually we basically got all moved Thursday! We had LOTS of help and if you were one of them, Thank you! We moved four house down. See the story is...our agent Micki Shreve lived four house down from us. And since this happened mom just said take the house off the market. Well, ended up Billy and Micki decided that we could swap houses..since they have a ranch and they were basically already moved out of the top floor because they had had wood floors put in, new counter tops, and they had the cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen stripped and re-stained! And they might have done a little bit of painting too. Anyway, they are going to live in our house until it sells and then if we still are living in their house when they need somewhere to go, they will live in the RV. They don't want us to rush getting out of here for them. They want us to stay here as long as we need. Eventually we will get a house built or something. Anyway, so far this house is working out great! And we like it! Soon, I will take pictures..(me or mom) and will put them on here. Julie and Karson's room isn't quite ready for pictures! If you know what I mean! =) Well, I better sign off...school starts in 9 minutes. Here we go another day.......

What has happened to us in the past 2 weeks....
Well, folks two weeks ago today my dad broke his leg and was taken to Shawnee Mission and then KU. They did a surgery Tuesday to fix his leg and found that he had bone cancer. That Wednesday we were allowed to the hospital and mom and dad told us about the cancer and told us that he would have his right leg removed. =( Our lives changed March 20th when dad broke his leg. We saw him almost everyday....finally he came home yesterday and he is very glad to be home. Me being "mommy" for about 2 weeks (with a few breaks) is partially over now! But for now and forever I will help mom with the kids and help dad with things he needs. I already do! We now have real equipment when we want to play nurse! A wheelchair, a walker, a comode, crutches, and then we have a bath chair where dad can slide into the shower or back out! =) Cool, huh? Well, this new life will be something we will have to get used to but we will! And with God's help as well. We can't forget that!
Thanks for the prayers and PLEASE KEEP THEM UP!

Being a Page at the Capitol =)
On February 25, 2010, I went (with a couple of friends and my dad) to the capitol in Topeka to be a page for Mike Kiegrel.
Feb. 24, David and Angela Winkler and I spent the night over at my Grandma's house. Feb. 25, we rose a little after 6:00 am to get ready for dad to come pick us up to go to the capitol. When we got there we took a restroom break and then headed to the page supervisors office. After that we went and sat around for a little bit and then we all went to the balcony on the Floor. We were sworn in and given some instructions etc. and then she, our page supervisor, took us to look at some of the places we might have to go for our representatives. Then we went to where we would be sitting and she showed us some things there. Then we were taken to a room where we paired up with our representative and waited to get our picture taken with the governor! =) After that Mike took us to the visitors' center and he bought us some pins. Mine is a sunflower. Then we went to his office for a little while. After that we went to the balcony of the senate floor. Then we went and waited around until we went onto the floor to wait for the house to convene. Our first errand for Mike was to get coffee and a muffin. Then we sat and waited around for a while until he needed us to take some papers to someone all the way in the basement! He only needed us for a couple of things that day. Then we sat and waited around listening to them discuss the bill about smoking (and it got passed by the way). Then after a while, our page supervisor went and asked Mike about lunch and Dad, David, Angela and I went and ate pizza. We never did see Mike after that because they were still in session when we left! =D
Anyway, it was a fun experience and I would definitely do it again! We are each going to get paid $3.00 for our work! =D
Thursday night, I got sick...the whole fam. has been sick. Fortunately, I waited to get sick until AFTER going to the capitol and I am publicly thanking God for allowing that to happen!
Well, bye for now!
And, I can upload pictures if anyone is interested...so please leave comments and I can upload pictures soon!!
