Saying Goodbye to Travis for a while!

Today was a day that I probably won't forget for a while!

Last night Esther and I spent the night with my Grandma Englund so we would be able to go up to see Travis sworn in and say goodbye's today.

This morning around 6 o' clock I woke up and laid in bed for a while. After a while I got up and had toast with peanut butter on it and four slices of apple. The weather outside was not looking good. On the radio Grandma heard the roads were slick. We rushed around getting ready, then got a call from my dad. Dad said he was going only 20 miles per hour on the highway. He was telling me we needed to hurry so we would get to the place we were going. Grandma decided to call Eric, my other uncle, who we would be going with (my aunt Ashlee too). He wanted to leave 15 minutes earlier then we had planned.

We rushed around after the phone call, for Grandma wanted to leave in 5 minutes!! Well, we made it to Eric and Ashlee's apartment, picked them up, and on the way we were!!

We made it to the place where Travis was to be sworn in. Trav came out and saw all the family that was there. Charity's brother and his fam, father and mother, and grandparents were there and then Trav's, mother, nieces, and brother and his wife.

Trav's recruiter forgot to give Travis his transcript so, that delayed some things.
Travis was to be sworn in at 9 am or around then and ended up being sworn in around 11 am I think. So, we sat waiting, visiting, watching, and spending time with Travis when we could while we waited on him to get sworn in.

If he would have been sworn in at 9, we would have then after that spent some time with him. Instead we spent time with him before he was sworn in!! =) We also ended up not being late and missing his swearing in!!

After the swearing in, we said our goodbyes and went to Wendy's.

Travis was to leave the place at 1:00 Pm to go to the airport and his flight left at 3:50 PM as far as we know.

P.S. I did get a AF shirt! It says,

And it has a pair of combat boats on it too!!!!!!!!!!
