A Great Vacation!!

Day 1: Wednesday, we left for San Antonio, on a plane, at 8:15 and got here about 12 something!! We came to our motel and prepared our rooms etc. and then left for the Riverwalk!! We were there for a while and then Grandma, Grandpa, Eric and Ashlee met us at the Riverwalk and we at at a Mexican Restraunt.

Day 2: Thursday, graduation activities begin!! :) We had not seen Travis yet...until the Coin Ceremony. The whole flight, 323, recieved a coin for all that they did. Trav's flight was 323!! :)

When the ceremony was done he was relesed for base pass, but, wait let us go back to the wonderful moment we saw Travis David Englund for the first time in 2 monthes...that is when we got to talk and be with him! Charity was so glad to see him, she even cried!! :)

Day 3: Friday, GRADUATION!!!! Travis played the base drum in the graduation!! And his flight ended up walking RIGHT past where we were sitting!! :) He was relesed for town pass and we went to the Riverwalk, we ate at THE REPUBLIC OF TEXAS, met and gave him his graduation present (which was built by Eric) and then he had to be returned to base!

Day 4: Saturday, THE OCEAN!!!!!!!! We went to Padro Island!! It was all four of us kiddos first time to be to the ocean!! IT WAS GREAT!!! We were able to collect several seashells! We saw two dead jellyfish!! :D I went the farthest out into the Gulf then anybody else in my family! It was fun! I would get my skirt wet then go get in the sand!! :) It was a fun day! (Grandma, Grandpa, Eric, and Ashlee left for Dallas)

Day 5: Sunday, we went to church with Travis! He had base pass so we were able to be there with him..we ate at the big BX (base exchange) and ate, then we let Char and Trav have some alone time while we went to change our clothes, then we met them at a park there on the base, then the very hard time came...to say goodbye to Travis. I OF COURSE cried. I get very emotional about stuff. I felt so bad for Charity, for none of us know when we will see him again.

Day 6: Today, we went the San Antonio Zoo today!! We got to see Black Lepords!! :D Charity left today, she got delayed though which is annoying. :( Now we are sitting in the motel.

Day 7: Tomorrow, we leave.......=( =(

Well, that is what has been up with us for the past few days!

Souviners: U.S Air Force Stationary Kit, a Texas pin, a AF pin, Texas post cards, AF postcards, a lion squished quarter, a Snow Leopard, and Trav is going to buy and send my a bear in either blues or camo, not sure...

Well, later!!

P.S. we drove as far south, on pavement, as we could while on Padro Island!! And we drove all around Corpis Christi bay!!!

A Visit To Ranken Jordan

On March 17, 2009, I had the privilege of going to Ranken Jordan and meeting some of the people that work there. It is a very neat hospital for kids who need special attention.
We got a tour from Janet who is the Director of the Financial stuff.
Some of the specific people I met were, Angie, Janet, Jean, Katherine (not sure on sp), Chrissy, and another girl..not sure the name!! I think that is all, I mean I don’t think I officially met a girl up at the front desk..Janet was at the front desk when we got there because I lady named Annette wasn’t there..when she came out I saw her.
One of the neat things I spotted out was a swing built for kids who have wheelchairs. The child could wheel his or hers wheelchair up there and swing!! It is really cool!! They have an indoor playground and an outdoor playground. They have like a work out room where the kids can exercise, I guess. There is this pool where they get into a pool wheelchair and roll down a ramp and can get into warm water!!

The kids never stay in bed all day…they get up, get dressed, and are busy all day!! Their families come in and spend time with them and can eat with them, etc.!!
On the roof, there is a place where you can go and there is a telescope and they can watch things…then from that small room there are two doors and you can go out either out into the outdoors where they can see planes land, fireworks, and just be outside a bit!!

Everybody that I have met is nice that works there!!

But, besides the neat stuff at Ranken Jordan, think of the children and families. Some of those kids there are well, lets just put it this way…those kids are not like regular kids…their families are probably sad their kids are like this..so, even though you don’t know the children and their families…keep them in your prayers!!

--Forever Be Ready
-Matthew 25:1-13
~By Luanna J. Wright

As a Christian you should always be ready. No one, except God, know when Jesus is coming again. If you want to make it to heaven you should always stay ready, for God could come at any time.

Matthew 25:13 says, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

As you are reading today's devotional, ask yourself if you are ready. Is there anything you have lied about? Have you sinned? Are you even truely saved?

You can definitly be saved. Jesus died on the cross to forgive everybody's sins. So, if you have a sin you need to ask forgiveness for, do it.

If you don't have Jesus in your heart, please ask him!

Hopefully I'll see you in heaven someday!
